My husband and I had dinner at Farmington's Bronx Deli this week. While the food is super good and filling, their prices are a little high for what you get. I had the small Bronx Rueben, which was made of the best corned beef I have ever had. For $8 I expected a little more - I ate the entire sandwich in one sitting which is unheard of for most Reuben's I order. My husband had the small Bob's Beef Brisket. Again, the brisket was great and I felt you get more for your money than the Reuben. The garlic fries are excellent! If you like garlic, try these - though I will warn you they are a tad greasy. Overall, the food is great but I can buy similar sandwiches at other local deli's and get way more for my money.

Becoming one of my more regular lunch spots over the past couple of months. I've eaten the Ginsberg Bomber, Bronx Reuben and Veggie Reuben. All of the sandwiches have been great, and too big. The soups here are excellent. You really cannot go wrong with them, pricey, but oh so worth it. The atmosphere and service is great for getting away from the office. I tend to run into people I know and have some fun people watching to boot. I don't think I'll get away with skipping this place anytime soon because all the guys in logistics love it.

Its a little deli tucked away in a farmington hills shopping center. They have a fancy fire pizza oven and plenty of sandwiches. I went there for pizza and it was delicious. Maybe ill go back for a sandwich another time. Also, all their desserts are homemade and fantastic. I have had the rice pudding and carrot cake. Great service and very friendly. Im not ashamed to admit that a groupon brought me here initially, otherwise I would have never gone. I prob would have gone to antonions next door instead. Seemed to be a place that had a bunch of regulars.

Great spot and good sandwiches. I get the corned beef or turkey club. I must admit the telegraph spot original is a better spot if eating in. The telegraph spot I gave 4 stars. Both are solid. I do want to try the pizza at this locale. Looked tasty. But again, Ive eaten my share of Delis and this is quality. They use Sy Ginsberg meats btw. Salads are impressive.

I was highly disappointed. Service was attentive here. Atmosphere was fine. They were quick and efficient about things. The flavor? Hmmmm. Not great. My rye was borderline stale, the swiss fairly tasteless. The cole slaw was good but scant on my sandwich. The corned beef itself though was very tasty at least. Not nearly tasty enough to save the sandwich. I had to get extra russian dressing to make it somehow work. My advice? If you are getting a sammy get it grilled and/or toasted. Untoasted highlighted all the flaws. I still think even mediocre sandwiches are made into something people love by grilling, so I'm sure thats why I am not as thrilled as others. In my opinion though it should not HAVE to be toasted to enjoy it. The portion here was not as big as I was expecting. I ate my whole sandwich. It is rare that I ever eat a whole sandwich at a deli. The fact I did finish it (easily) should tell you it is not as big as other area delis. Sad. Not a cheap one either, I ordered and paid for a large. The redskin potato salad was too saucy for my liking but still decently good. The new dill was not terribly fresh nor snappy. It was ummm ok. Most everything I ate was just ummmm ok. I'm a deli fanatic for pete's sake. This should be my happy place. My husband's mac and cheese on the other hand was very delicious. He added some stellar ham and bacon to it. I was jealous. Yes my corned beef addicted self was jealous of fricking mac and cheese. Pathetic. If I went back that is exactly what I would order. I won't be back though, its too far to come for mediocre.

Food was good but they don't clean the tables very fast got there at 6:45 3 table dirty by door. The bussed them about 30 min after we got there. Waitress was flirting with a guest at the bar ( rubbing on him ) what a turn off no owner or manager in site. But food was good just need to be cleaned more

We go to the other Bronx Deli location, the one on Telegraph in Bloomfield Hills, so when we heard about this location and that they serve Pizza and have a brick oven, we decided to give it a try. I went thinking I would try a Pizza, but the folks seated next to us had been served one and it didn't look too great. I did read the pizza menu. They actually have a Reuben Pizza. I wonder what a pizza that has sauerkraut and Swiss cheese tastes like? I decided not to find out. So I went with a large Reuben Sandwich made from Pastrami instead. My wife had a small Corned Beef sandwich and we shared an order of Latkes. We both had plain waters to drink. The check came to around $ 30.00 before the tip. Now we had plenty to eat, but the prices at the Bronx Deli seem to be creeping up. The food was good and the service was great however and of course we will be back.

I've been eying this place for a while and finally convinced my coworkers to come here with me. The Reuben is delicious as the other reviews suggested. I love my sandwiches grilled, I definitely feel it adds more flavor. The garlic fries were definitely very garlicky! For the amount of food you get, I wouldn't really call this place cheap, with sandwiches come at $8+. Nevertheless, tasty food and attentive service. Good place to go for lunch every so often.

This place is the whip! Right inside the Kroger's plaza sits Bronx Deli just a couple storefronts from New Balance. The signage isn't very adorned and it took a thorough brousing on Yelp, while looking for lunch spots in the area, to stumble on this place...now that I know it's a winner it's at the top of my list for sandwich destinations. The menu is inclusive...from appetizers, to Paninis, to the deli staples you'd expect and stretching to garlic fries, mac n' cheese and NY style pizza. They also serve wine and solid beer options with some Michigan micros there too. The space itself was warm, clean and urban looking with clean restrooms (chalkboard wall paint and chalk included, see the pic) and a really nice staff of cute ladies. Arden was our server. I ordered the Bronx Reuben and a side of garlic fries to split with Joe V. My sandwich was just the right size with a good quality corned beef and melty Swiss topping sauerkraut and Russian dressing on a thinner sliced Rye that was buttered and toasted on a Panini press...it came with a pickle spear too. It was a solid choice but with so many killer options I had to start with the basics. The garlic fries were likely hand-cut and covered in garlic and crushed red pepper and maybe a little parm if I'm not mistaken. They're a little addictive so be prepared. I also ordered a Lenny's Veggie to take back to the office. A really great multi-grain bread stacked with cucumber, red onion, tomato, roasted red peppers and fresh lettuce with a hero's smear of both Feta and hummus spreads...all wrapped in butcher paper and sent along with a pickle (it was a "new" pickle and I really prefer a brinier style so I didn't love it but no matter). Joe liked his #14 Italian sub, all I know is that it was huge. There's so much here to choose from and the deli staples are just the tip of the iceberg. Of other noteworthy recommendation would be their food challenge...I don't recall it's name or the specifics but I do recall something about: two heaping corned beef sandwiches, fries, soda and a few other items, a $40 price tag, and the words "If you finish it we pay for it and if you don't, you pay for it". It sounded like death by food coma but I always love contemplating the likelihood of completing a good food challenge. If you want to try this place check out their website to get email deals. It's a little pricey but well worth the expense. Our tab for the three sandwiches, the garlic fry and two iced teas was $34 before tip-it was worth every penny.

I have tried this place twice. They are so overpriced!! I get better sandwiches at the Bread basket. A small corn beef on onion roll with Swiss is 11.00.. Wow.. A small is 6.99 at other deli's. You get no fries or chips or drink for 11.00 bucks. They barely offer any good lunch specials. If they do, the only side is coleslaw. No fries or drinks. And the food is just ok. I would love to try the garlic fries but I won't pay 5 bucks for fries.

I have been coming here for some time now and can say that I really enjoy the food and atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, well situated, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. My wife is always trying new things off the menu and seems to have liked everything she has had. I on the other hand, am a creature of habit and always get the Ginsberg Bomber with fries. The meat is sliced deli thin with Swiss cheese, cole slaw, served on rye bread. Everything about this sandwich is quality from the meat up to the bread. As you have read in the reviews, the fries are no joke. I spoke to one of the waitresses the first time we came and she said they hand cut their own fries. They are fried just past golden brown and are a meal in themselves if you order a large. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they tend to be a little high on price, but in my opinion it is worth it.

Service from waitress was great Mushroom bisque was lick the bowl delish Turkey w/ swiss good Reuban was yummy The low end...the prices. The food tastes very good but my sandwich was a LG - but not large like bread basket, stage, steves....$12 for a tasty sandwich but not worth the $12. Yes, I should have take a picture. : ) My husbands regular old turkey sandwich was $8 (sm)...not worth the price. The price is just for a sandwich. Nothing else - well, a rather odd tasting pickle is thrown in. The soup was $5...

I LOVE Bronx Deli! I think I order something different everytime I come here. My fiance usually orders the Ginsberg Bomber with a side of coleslaw, but I like to switch it up. I love their fries! They're handcut deliciousness! The garlic ones are awesome too! But be warned - your significant other might find your breath offensive. Trust me...I know from experience. I think I had garlic breath for about 2 days! I'm sure the Pesto Chicken Panini I ordered with the fries didn't help matters. It was pretty bad, but worth it in my opinion. I loooove garlic! On our most recent visit, my fiance and I were butting heads - I almost ordered the garlic fries just to get even with him! I was feeling spiteful at the moment. Lol! Lucky for him I noticed "American Brisket" on the menu and had a last minute change of heart. The American Brisket is awesome! Think of a Hot Turkey or a Hot Beef sandwich - but this comes with a slice of white bread, LOTS of thinly sliced brisket, a mountain of fries, and a bunch of thick beef gravy! It was goooood! Our waitress was great and gave me a side of extra gravy without even having to ask for it! I had so much food leftover I took it home with me. I ate it a couple days later and the only complaint I had, was the side of gravy got pretty salty! I ended up tossing it. This was my one and only experience with their gravy, so I don't know if this is a common issue or not. I will say that it wasn't salty when I was eating it at the restaurant, so maybe it just got salty after the flavors had a chance to meld together? I don't know. Just give it a chance if it sounds like your thing because it probably is.

Party of two. Lunchtime on a Tuesday. 12:15. Place is pretty full. Place looked cool and seemed to support Detroit companies. Seated at a (very wobbly) two-top in the center of the room. Normally this is not an issue, but the wait staff were passing items to each other across our table. Ordered two sandwiches, sodas, basket of fries. Wait staff were hustling, but seemed overstretched. Took quite a while to get any food. And it was just fries. We ate almost the entire basket before sandwiches showed up. Big plate. Big pickle. Average sized deli sandwich on the big ole plate. Sandwich was fine. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Pickle was more like a cucumber wedge. Took forever to get a bill and get out of there. I noticed a lot of other tables waiting to get bills. It was a $30 lunch that should have been a lot better. I was going to mention it to a manager, but I didn't see anyone that looked like an owner or manager. Small sandwich: $10 ea Drink: $2.20 ea Fries: $3.50?

I'm a regular at the Pontiac location. While sitting at the counter, the waitress informed me there is a FARMINGTON HILLS location as well. Oh geez. Good to know, as it is quite close to my house! Well, it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere in the FH location - and their delicious food. I'm a sucker for their Maurice Salad (think Hudson's - yep, great foodie memories). They also have to-die-for soups. Check it out - great place!

Great little deli/pizzeria. Staff is very friendly, good came out incredibly quick, and the food is great. The prices definitely match the quality of the experience. The only con is they can't serve pizza until 5pm.

I usually stop here for lunch and usually the service and sandwiches are always great but this time was a different story. We had a soggy sandwich and when we tried asking if they can toast it up more or fix it the waitress told me they couldn't because I took 1 bite out of it! That wasn't the end of it.. I was still eating my fries and the server cleared the table before i finished and put dirty dishes on top of it before I could say anything. Again there food is usually good but this was just a bad experience for us.

Apologies to the owner of this location! There was some miscommunication sent me that indicated they were no longer selling pizza but I'm very happy to see that they are serving awesome pizza here still! Worth the drive!

Hands down the best deli sandwich in the state of michigan. Great fries. Great food. Smaller location it seems than the pontiac location, but perfect size. Huge sandwiches. At a decent price. The wait staff is more attentive at this location as well

A restaurant redeemed. I ordered carryout opening weekend and it was obvious they didn't work the kinks out - our sandwiches and soup were overflowing with sodium to the point of them being inedible. I always give restaurants second chances however and I'm truly happy I did. Went back to basics this afternoon - corned beef, swiss, yellow mustard on rye. They serve Sy Ginsberg corned beef and it was absolutely delicious. At least I think it was because our entire family inhaled their sandwiches. I'll inch myself back into ordering additional items from the Bronx Deli but for now the staple - a good corned beef sandwich - is about as good as it gets in metro Detroit and can easily compete with Star, Stage and Steve's.

Seriously? Cannot believe this place has a four star review! I found the quality of the food to be that of an airport sandwich shop disguised as a normal, New York style deli. If you don't care and just want a sandwich at a clean restaurant with good service then it's great. If you're looking for good deli, don't go here.

Bronx Deli opened up a second location in Farmington Hills adding a place to grab a delightfully large sandwich and beer. My family and I are habitual restaurant eaters; we love trying new places and supporting local businesses. When we chose Bronx Deli for our Friday night dinner, we all left with carryout boxes and full bellies. For most of their deli sandwiches, you will pay around $11 for a large and a $8.50 for a small. A salad is around $10, but they are huge! The side dishes are worth the extra bucks... I highly recommend the garlic fries; they were incredible and will run you around $5. We started with the cheese sticks... two orders and they messed up and gave us a third (for free)... we ate them all. No joke, every last one. They make their own pastry to wrap around to gooey cheese. Heaven. Their wood fired pizzas looked incredible as we watched many get delivered to the tables around us which is around $10 and enough to share. If you decide to wash down the grub with a draft beer or glass of wine, they have a full bar, which always seems to increase the bill a bit. If you frequented this spot when it was a Leo's Coney Island, you will be as surprised as I was with what they did to renovate the interior. The bar is huge and they did an excellent job opening it up and making it feel like a modern deli. We sat in a huge booth which had plenty of elbow room for all six of us. They also offer catering , carryout, and an order online option. If you follow them on Facebook, you can get updates including their soups of the day!

Delicious sandwiches even in take-out style. What can go wrong with delicious bread, meats (pastrami and corned beef), coleslaw or sauerkraut and cheese? NOTHING. I am excited to go back and try more sandwiches - especially the one with fries and gravy.

I've been here a couple times. Once I tried the Italian sub and the other a chicken caesar salad. The sub was very good. The salad was a bit underwhelming. Since I paid an upcharge for extra chicken, I was hoping there would be a substantial amount of chicken on the salad, but it just didn't seem like "extra." That being said...I don't have anything to gauge what a "normal" amount of chicken is. THAT being said...any less chicken would have been a huge disappointment. The garlic fries are amazing. Greasy. But amazing. Definitely worth the indulgence.

ok . . . Soup: Excellent Sandwich: Good (not great in the least) Atmosphere: Deli nice Price: High side for what you get Best corned beef? Nah Still like Bread Basket or even Body's

If you, like us, can make a killer corned beef brisket at home (and thus can cut the meat as thickly or as thinly as you want) or can say your favorite corned beef/pastrami sandwich of ALL TIME is found at Katz's Deli in NYC, then you'll be supremely disappointed by the sandwiches. If you've had the holy grail of sandwiches, nothing else can compare, even if it's semi-decent/good-not-great. HOWEVER, this place has KILLER garlic fries. We go back for these alone. And ya know what? the place has a cool vibe. Although we've never sat down and enjoyed a beer there, I have to say I'd be down for a beer or two and a heaping basket of garlic fries. That possibility alone will keep me coming back.

So far, I've only gotten food from Bronx Deli once, and it was a takeout order. I went there well after 1pm on a weekday and it was still super crowded. The menu items were definitely on the expensive side, so I doubt I'll be coming here (dine in or take out) often. Although, what I did get were fabulous. I haven't had true matzah ball soup since I left Cleveland 12 years ago (where I lived is chalk full of the Jewish demographic, so there was matzah ball soup everywhere) and I've been searching for it high and low in the SE Michigan area, and this is the first time I've run into it. The soup is legit. The small come with one giant matzah ball surrounded by chicken soup with veggies. You can tell by the rich taste of the soup and the pieces of chicken that the stock is homemade. I also ordered the pestorella panini. It was delicious, and big enough to split into 2 meals. Obviously it was the best when it was fresh, but it heated up perfectly fine in the microwave for the second time around. A small chicken matzo ball soup is $4.89, but given the rarity of it in the metro Detroit area, I guess I'll make an exception every so often and get that since it's that good.

  • Kyle M.

The atmosphere isn't really a deli. More a bar/restaurant that specializes in deli foot. So don't expect a quick in and out. Garlic fries were really good. The small is enough for 3 people to split. Had the pick two with the cranberry walnut salad and chicken salad sandwich. Both good. Ended up taking the salad home for later because it was so much good. Overall very impressed!

I really like this place. My wife and I come here at least once per week. The staff is exceptional and very friendly. If you're thinking about Steve's deli and don't want to drive the extra distance the Bronx deli is the place to be. Don't forget to get Cannolis! !!

Wow, what a Reuben! I am a bit of a Reuben snob, but this one met all expectations. The corned beef was heaven, so tender and juicy, it was otherworldly. Bronx is a great addition to the area. They have friendly service, a huge menu, and authentic feeling decor. The prices are a bit high, but well worth. Aside from driving to Ann Arbor for Zingermanns, this is as good as it gets in the area.

The hubs and I found this place via Yelp. It is in the strip mall by Kroger @ Halsted/12 Mile. It used to be a dull and lifeless coney island. Boy, was I surprised when I walked in! The decor is very updated--brick & metal, refurbished church pews, with a nice hardwood floor. I was shocked to see a full bar (and wished it weren't 2 in the afternoon!). The menu was extensive and reasonably priced--similar to a mid- to high-priced deli. We had the place to ourselves, but I was a little bit disappointed that I was told to "sit anywhere" when I walked in, and many tables were still dirty and had not been cleaned. There was plenty of waitstaff sitting around, some were even eating, so I don't know why they wouldn't have the place ready to go. At any rate, our french fries came out a few minutes before our sandwiches, but all aspects of our lunch were delicious. The hubs raved about his pastrami, and I enjoyed my mozzarella/chicken/pesto panini (sub-type panini). We both took half home because the sandwiches were huge! OVerall, we will be back. I just hope their waitstaff keeps the place cleaner, or I may have to revise my rating next time around.

Food in consistently delicious. We eat here once a week and have yet to dissappointed. Husband loves the piazza. The Maurice Salad is great. Take them up onthe chop and toss. Corned beef. Latkes. Really everything is beautifully prepared. Service is good and I like a place that can keep their help.

New Deli opened walking distance from our house!? Obviously, we had to give it a try. We decided to get carry out, but went there are ordered. The deli looks very nice from the inside, the decor has a little hint of New York Subway to it. Anyway, we ordered a Bronx Reuben sandwich, a Carrie's Double Beef, and a small order of garlic fries. The double beef was tasty and they didn't hold back on the hot peppers which made it even better. However, the Reuben was the better sandwich. It was all melt-y and cheese-y and yum! The fries were flavored very nicely, but were not crisp, and that made it lose it's perfectness. I can't wait to go back and try some more sandwiches... They serve alcohol and New York style pizzas (after 5pm), and we are going to eat diner there some day soon.

First time here with a group of friends. Hidden gem in this plaza that I had no idea about until today. We had a wonderful time socializing with a few beers. The garlic bread is amazing and loved the spicy pepperoni on the thin crust pizza. Great atmosphere with trivia on Tuesday nights as well. We will be back!

Very good food, I'd eat here again. It is solid deli grub. Had the garlic fries and they were delicious. I ordered the Dinty Moore, a little underwhelming due to the rather bland Russian dressing but my husband and son had the shaved brisket. The bread the brisket was on was perfect and the sandwich was tender and juicy.

One word: "Wow" kept coming from my mouth as I enjoyed - scratch that - DEVOURED the corned beef sandwich from Bronx Deli. I have eaten and enjoyed a lot of plates of corned beef over the years and having lived just minutes from O' Hara's in Eastpointe my whole life, I learned early what good corned beef should taste like. This is the stuff! This was the "Bronx Reuben": Grilled Sy Ginsberg corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing on Rye (although I had mine on white). Damn good sandwich! This stuff was tender and delicious. The kraut was just right - not overbearing like so many other places misstep, Bronx knows their stuff! The cheese was perfect and the dressing - just right. If you like corned beef sandwiches - especially authentic New York Style - go to Bronx Deli. It's not a huge place - a former coney island in the corner of a grocery store complex so it's easy to miss - and once word takes off about this place, you won't be able to get a table at lunch time. Inside, the decor is simple but nice with just a couple of flat screens on either side of the joint, but the staff is nice and it's bright and clean - but trust me, none of that matters, you're going there for the corned beef. Do it! Go now!

The Good: the decor was excellent. They really spruced up the old Leo's coney. The pictures were funny, especially the one of Tigers fans getting arrested at a Yankees game. Sadly, I cannot eat decor. I had heard good things about Bronx and was excited to try this place out. I am unsure if our waitress was just extra new or the kitchen was having a bad night or what, but our meal was impressively bad. They were out of every soda choice my brother tried to order, leaving only celery flavor. Joy. Two people ordered the chicken orzo soup which was just broth, carrots, and overcooked chicken. Not one singe orzo noodle. We dug through both bowls looking. The latkes were mush, flavor was good, but they had the consistency of wet newspaper. They gave the wrong meals to half the table. The sandwich I ordered was awful. The bread was stiff and rubbery, the turkey had absolutely zero flavor. The tomatoes were pale and flavorless. Granted this is a bad season for tomatoes, but not that bad. The swiss cheese had to be expired, as it tasted sour. I had to remove it from the sandwich before taking a second bite. We ordered fries to split for the table, which came out a full 20 minutes after all the sandwiches. We asked our waitress several times about this, and she insisted they were on the way. But when two tables who ordered after us had fries come up before us, it was clear she just forgot to put in the order. That is fine, just admit it. Don't lie to me about it. We would have been better off going to the Kroger next door to buy ingredients and making the food ourselves. Would have taken less time too. It is astonishingly rare to leave a meal pondering on the ride home if it was all an elaborate practical joke.

I will start off by saying I always HATE deli prices. For some reason they are always exorbitant, in my opinion. $8 for a small vegetarian Reuben? The sandwich was good, but not $8 worth. The pickles were not pickled (yuck). The fries were satisfactory. I won't return, but it is just because of my deli aversion. On a positive note, the waitress was wonderful!

Hidden gem found in a nondescript strip mall in Farmington. Great sandwiches and soups. I especially like the mushroom barley soup which is full of corned beef. Their sandwiches are pretty big so they are fun to share. I also recommend the mac and cheese with the pepper mix but beware its huge! Never has their pizza but of its anything like their sandwiches I will have to try it!

Ordered a JL Hudson's Maurice Salad the meat cheese and pickles were cut up in chunks. Which is not how they prepared the iconic Salad at the department store. The atmosphere was very comfortable. We also tried the Dinty Moore it was ok. Service was good...
